Gdium.com is a dynamic and modular, open source, multimedia content management system. In addition, it is a social environment for groups and users to interact, share, exchange in a private or public mode, producing a knowledge base enriched by internal users and external content providers (trusted partners, publishers, universities, online repositories of courses, and more).

We have developed this environment to be especially suitable for schools in the first place where you can:

• Deliver a lesson with rich content (text, audio, video, links)
• Work on a course with many lessons, assignments, timed material;
• Have groups that are organized as courses taken by more that one class; or groups of classmates in a grade level, or other groups such as extra curricular literature groups.

We provide capabilities for invitation, sharing, internal messaging, broadcasting, calendar, and activity log. This environment despite its pedagogical intent is designed to be a fun, simple to use social networking site that attracts the young learner’s attention. Teachers and administrators can also use these tools for not only better delivery of education, but also for their own collaborative needs, such as curricular development and communication.

Content of the Site

Users may contribute to the site with content they create. Such content is then made available to all users if the owner decides to.

In that case users agree that their content be provided for all other users under the Creative Commons License Attribution- Non Commercial and for Gdium S.A. under the Creative Commons Licence Attribution.
