One Laptop Per Hacker Charter
The OLPH program is created to support developers that would like to improve, add features, and in general innovate using the Gdium device as a base plateform.
The goal of this program is to maximize the sharing of knowledge and to create an informal marketplace of ideas.
Members of the OLPH program are welcomed as members of the Gdium Foundation
In exchange of the services Emtec, Gdium.Com and the Gdium Foundation provide to the OLPH community we expect the members to agree to the following charter.
Members agree to release the content they create for the Gdium under a license supporting the sharing of knowledge
- For programs, we recommend that you release them under "GNU GPL version 3 or later", but will consider requests to use other licenses approved by the FSF and/or the OSI when there is a specific reason.
- For contents a version of the Creative Commons family of licenses or alternatively an FDL type license
- For online services an AGPL license.
Members agree to become members of the Gdium.Com social network, share informations, collaborate, and answer questions of other OLPH members.
The Gdium Foundation will provide a basic development infrastructure with a bug tracker and a source code repository, OLPH members agree to consult the bug tracker to get feedback on their creations, and to post regularly recent versions of their creation to the OLPH source repository. (they are welcome to make full use of the infrastructure, but this obviously does not need to be exclusive.)
I have dabbled in many
I have dabbled in many computer languages, I can code and I can do art. I will be a great asset to the goal. I am the type of person that will hack for hours until something is perfect. I am a perfectionist if there is a bug I will find it and fix it. I am a very good tester because often i will search for bugs in a system; I will systematically try to make the system fall just to see what sort of problem exists. I can open up the computer and see if air flow is correct through the case i can see if the case design can be improved. I can also do artwork for the system, skinning or any type of beautification. Basically I am a jack of many trades when it comes to computers and hacking them to make them better. sorry my English is not perfect it is hard to describe what I want to do, but i just want to make it perfect. Find errors then fix them this is my goal. I have always wished to be a part of a dev team and hopefully this is my chance.
