Tonight, I spent some more time with the Gdium.  Having spent a lot of time configuring my other linux netbook, I decided to really pore over the Gdium, and I'm glad I did.

I discovered that all of the settings that I wanted to change can be found in the first icon on the top-left of the desktop.

I left the gdium plugged in overnight to charge and woke to find it only at 74%.

Then, on boot, I noticed that the desklets that I had closed were up, the desklets that I had left open were gone.  I haven't been able to find any documentation on how to get the desklets back.

The Gdium netbook arrived today - very fast shipping from France!

The packaging is very nice and everything fired up nicely.   So far, the netbook seems to get very hot very quickly, there seems to be an issue with it remembering the screen brightness setting, and I want to find a way to get Firefox 3 installed.
