IFA event in Berlin

2 September 2008 – 17:56 by Leeloo

Some of you may have read on Slashgears (or even better in our Event page ;) ) that the last versions of the Gdium Liberty 1000 were introduced to the professional public at the IFA exhibit in Berlin, from August 29th until tomorrow, September 3rd 2008.

The EMTEC booth.

On the EMTEC booth, along with our last products (the Movie Cubes Q800 and S800, and the brand new Video Recorder N100), our visitors are astonished by the vibrant colors of our netbook and could see the User Interface in action, thanks to the special system image developed only for the event.

Using the Movie cube.

As for the specs, nothing has changed a bit, it still going to hold three USB 2.0 ports (one used by the G-Key), 10/100 ethernet, VGA and an SD/SDHC/MMC card reader. The G-Key, available in either 8GB or 16GB sizes, comports the Mandriva G-Linux OS along with a bundle of 50 applications.

EMTEC Gdium accesories

The Gdium Liberty comes with a lot of accessories.

If you have nothing to do tomorrow, do not think twice about coming and talk to us!
We’re at the booth 102, in Hall 15.1.

If you can’t come and see us, you can still watch this video to see the Gdium in action:

More photos of the event can be seen on Gdium Flickr photostream.

  3. Eager to get this netbook for a test. With full fledged Mandrivalinux it should be better (faster, more extendable) than any other netbook, even the Eee with Mandriva and tweaked to 100Mhz!

We have reviewers waiting in our MandrivaClub.NL team
